Cirque / Burlesque
For the last four years, I've worked intimately with cirque and burlesque troupes. Coming from a stage and theater background, I was instantly taken in by the allure and power—raw, gripping—of these versatile performers. In 2015, I started my own troupe: the Devilishly Divine Revue, a blend of burlesque, aerial silk work, strip tease, acrobatics, fire spinning, comedy, and theatrics. And we inject structure into our otherwise mad shows by having hosts, themes, and stories.
Devilishly Divine Revue conveys a variety of worthwhile messages—the complexities of human and inhuman relationships, ideas of self and expression, even good and evil—while appealing unabashedly to one's baser nature.
